Music Ministry

You are invited to participate in our music ministry!  Our Music Ministry is looking for new singers and musicians to join our ensembles! Because music is an integral part of Catholic worship and liturgy.  We believe good music makes good liturgy.  God, the giver of song, is present whenever His people sing His praises with full and active participation.  “He who sings,” said St. Augustine, “prays twice.”  We also need instrumentalists (guitarists, pianists, as well as those who play trumpet, brass, oboe, flute, strings, and drums) to support the Choir de los Coros on feasts and solemnities.

St. John Fisher parish sings God’s praises as a family, as a familia, and as a family of familias. By this, we mean that we sing to God in Spanish, in English, and Bilingually.  The music considers our assembly's culture.  Our musicians lead each us in praising God with well-loved traditional and newer hymns.  This diverse repertoire includes Gregorian Chant, as well as Mexicano/Tejano Spanish, Central American Spanish, traditional and folk English, and contemporary Praise & Worship music.  We become one by sharing each others’ music. For more information, please contact office@stjohnfisher.info and ask for the director of the group you’d like to join.
