Baptism

The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines the Sacrament of Baptism by noting "Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."

Baptisms are performed at St. John Fisher Catholic Church every third and fourth Saturday of the month.  Parents can have a child baptized from age 0-6 years old.  However, parents and godparents must attend a preparation classes beforehand.  These classes presently take place every third Monday of the month.

A $20 administrative fee for one child is required.  A $25 administrative fee is required for two children, and a $30 administrative fee is required when baptizing three or more children.

Call the office (281) 342-5092 to register for a class and pay the fee.
